Clio integration

Connect Clio to the rest of your firm.

Clio keeps matters, time, billing and documents in one place. We build the connections and tools around it, so staff stop retyping intake answers and chasing data between systems.

Keep it, then extend it

What Clio does well, and where teams outgrow it.

Where Clio shines
  • The matter at the centerContacts, documents, tasks, time and bills all hang off the matter, so everyone works from one file.
  • Automated workflowsClio Manage can assign task lists when a matter opens or changes stage, and generate documents when a matter is created.
  • A large app directoryThe Clio App Directory lists hundreds of apps for payments, e-signature, accounting and more.
Where teams hit the limits
  • Intake that fits your practiceEach practice area needs its own questions, conflict steps and routing, and standard forms only go so far.
  • Documents read by handCourt notices, records and letters still get read, and their dates and parties typed in.
  • Reports partners actually wantReports that mix Clio data with marketing, accounting or case outcomes get built in spreadsheets.
What we build around it

Connecting Clio to the rest of your work.

01

Intake that opens the matter

Answers from your website or phone intake create the contact and matter in Clio for staff to review.

02

Key dates from incoming documents

Software pulls dates and parties from notices, and a person confirms them before they reach the calendar.

03

Clio and your accounting in sync

Invoices and payments stay matched between Clio and the firm's books.

04

Drafts from matter details

Routine letters and forms are drafted from Clio data using your approved templates.

05

Firm reporting across systems

Matter, billing and marketing data come together in one partner report.

06

Client status updates

Clients get updates at key matter stages without a staff member picking up the phone.

Before we start

How access works.

A user at your firm approves the connection through Clio's secure sign-in, and the firm can remove it at any time. A connection built only for your firm stays private: Clio's app review applies to apps listed publicly in its App Directory. We build and test in a separate Clio developer account, not your live matters. Clio limits how many requests each connection can make per minute and doesn't raise that limit on request, so we design for steady, modest traffic (see Clio's developer docs).

FAQ

Common questions.

Do we have to replace Clio?

No. Clio stays your practice management system. We build around it and connect what it doesn't reach.

Will this break when Clio updates?

We use Clio's supported connection, follow its developer notices and add checks that alert us if something stops working.

Will AI give legal advice inside Clio?

No. Our tools organize, draft and check. An attorney reviews the work and makes the legal calls.

A few sentences is plenty. We'll tell you what we'd connect first, and whether a ready-made app already does the job.
